Approach to Health and Safety

Health and Safety Policy

We manage thoroughly health and safety in our activities to be the minimum exerting influences of health and safety for employees and locate an approach to health and safety as one of the top priorities for our management.


  1. We will make more of an effort to manage safety and sanitation and comply with laws and regulations relevant to safety and hygiene and internal standards.
  2. We will endeavor to improve machine equipment and working ways and continuously maintain safe and hygienic working environments.
  3. We will promote the strategy of health assurance for employees and enhance the sanitation management system to prevent the health effects of heavy work and mental health.
  4. We will communicate with all employees and perform safety and health activities with all members of the employees.
  5. We will endeavor to promote awareness of safety and health through employees’ education and internal advertising activities.

1. Activity of Safety and Health Committee

We carry out a safety and health committee that is specified by Industrial Safety and Health Act monthly. They discuss and investigate measures to prevent industrial accidents and the health effects, the items about the promotion of health and risk assessments, etc. The contents are shared quickly in each division and are useful for preventing industrial accidents, etc.

2. Periodic Health Checkups and Health Checkups for Employees Engaged in Specified Work

We establish a system of health checkups in the base of laws and regulations and perform annual periodic health checkups for all employees, and health checkups for employees engaged in specified work such as night shifts every 6 months.

In addition, as one of the health checkups, we regularly have face-to-face interviews with employees who work night shifts. We conduct hearing for mental health and a sleeping state, etc. which are not revealed in health checkups, and mediate consultation with industrial physicians for those who wish to see one.

3. Implementation of Stress Check

We conduct stress checks every year under laws and regulations. The risks of their disordered mental health are reduced to encourage them to notice their stress conditions and we prevent their mental health is disordered to analyze the results on a group base and connect to improve the work environment.
After the stress check, employees can also consult with industrial physicians if they request.
We replace to web method inputting with computers by writing survey method with hands and measuring mentally disordered groups by group analyses.

4. Installation of Counseling Service Counters

General affairs and personnel division manage internal counseling service counters. 
External counseling counters are the concierge of professional health management

  • Support dial of healthy life that is the purpose of advice about troubles of disordered body or mind, child-care, and family-care.
  • Early detection of support dial that is the purpose of consultation about arranging appointments of health checkup facilities and dementia.
  • Support dial of treatment that is the purpose of supports of treatment method, prevention of severe symptoms, and recurrences.
  • Care dial under medical treatment or after finishing the treatment that is the purpose of introduction of support services during a hospital stay or at going to the hospital.

We adjust those counseling systems.

5. Sharing Information on Labor Management in a Head Office and Each Division

To strengthen occupational health and safety throughout the company, a system has been established to collect labor management and health and safety issues from the heads of each department to the General Affairs and Human Resources Department at the head office and share them with management.
The specific contents are retirements, overworks, internal transfers, attendances, accidents, injuries, near miss instances as report items.
Therefore, we measure and early detect illness, disordered mental health, and unsafe work environments.
